Our holiday cottage is a stone built single storey building, all rooms are ground levelled having wide doors and good access for disabled users. Our cottage
is ideal for couples, or families with younger children or teenagers.
The cottage was built in the 1990's in the same style as the main farm house which dates back to around 1790. Brook Farm holiday cottage is linked to
the old stone built farm house, which no longer operates as a working farm is currently the owners residence. Brook House farm and cottage sits in the
middle of its 10 acre grounds, located in an Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty. You will find ample private space for parking and a car port by the cottage.
There is also a large front courtyard.
The Farm House has a large two acre south facing front garden with many specimen trees, and fruit trees. Immediately on your front door the cottage
benefits from an outdoor patio / terrace area with table and chairs and parasol if you wish to sit or eat outside, this is east facing, and ideal if you are looking
for a cooler place to relax in the afternoon. You will get full terrace sun in the morning and lunchtime.
The views from the holiday cottage are unspoilt, looking onto far reaching views of the local countryside providing you with a peaceful relaxing location.
First you will see our garden, then the two acrew front field. Beyond this view sists the Wenlock edge. The area is simply wonderful for walkers, with the
Stretton hills and the Longmynd only a short drive away is a must see.
The nearby postcard village of Cardington has Shropshire's oldest village pub. Cardington valleys are only a 30 minute walk away. In the car a 25 minute
drive will get you to Ironbridge, and all of its museums. The same driving distance will get you to Bridgnorth, Ludlow, and Shrewsbury are which are highly
recommended. The Holiday Cottage also enjoys a further 2 acre field (our campsite) at the back and a delightful brook to the side which is available to our
guests to enjoy. Children will love the open space available to them. Why not play football, badminton or volleyball ?.
Comprehensive local amenities are just 6 minute drive to the market town of Church Stretton which has some of the best walks in the country.
The entire area nearby is extremely popular with walkers with some of the finest countryside England has to offer. There are many National Trust places
to visit in the area, and placed to see. There are many excellent independent gastro-pubs sourcing fresh local produce as well as the Ludlow's annual
food festival and medieval festival which are both recommended.
Local amenities include several take away meals, a post office, doctor surgery, a police station, a co-op supermarket, a swimming pool and several
independent shops as well as a large antique shop attracting visitors from far afield.
